Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-SCN5A BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 424-658 (cytoplasmic loop between repeats I and II) of human Nav1.5 (also known as Voltage-gated sodium channel subunit alpha Nav1.5, Sodium channel protein type 5 or V subunit alpha, Sodium channel protein cardiac muscle subunit alpha, SCN5A and HH1, accession number Q14524)
Mouse: 88% identity (209/235 amino acids identical)
Rat: 87% identity (206/235 amino acids identical)
<40% identity with Nav1.1 and other Nav1 channels

We offer several options for BBB shuttle antibody design. Antibody construction can be customized according to customer requirements.
