Description

For each experiment, the caliber of the beginning material is crucial. For many downstream applications, a flawless single cell suspension is necessary. Brain tumor samples from xenografts and glioblastomas, neuroblastomas, and medulloblastomas can be used. Effective single cell suspension dissociation of the tumor is achieved: The papain-based brain tumor dissociation kit is used to recognize the GLAST (ACSA-1) and PSA-NCAM antigens of certain neural populations that are susceptible to papain and immune cells. Papain is also reactive with epitopes.
