Indirect CD133 MicroBead Kit

Description

Human CD133 Indirect Sorting Magnetic Beads use two-step indirect magnetic labeling to positively select or deplete CD133+ cells. Hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells can be isolated from peripheral blood, cord blood, bone marrow, or leukocyte isolation samples. Neural progenitor cells can be isolated from primary ES and iPS cell-derived neural, endothelial or hematopoietic progenitor cells can be isolated from differentiated ES or iPS cell cultures Cancer stem cells can be isolated from single cell suspensions of primary tumor tissue isolates or cell lines.
CD133, formerly known as AC133, recognizes the CD133 epitope. It is a marker found on pluripotent progenitor cells, including immature hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. In the hematopoietic system, CD133 is expressed on a small subset of CD34 and CD34bright stem/progenitor cell subsets in human fetal liver, bone marrow, umbilical cord blood, and peripheral blood. CD133 was also found to be expressed on circulating endothelial progenitor cells. Fetal neural stem cells; other tissue-specific stem cells, such as kidney, prostate, and corneal stem cells; cancer stem cells from tumor tissue; and ES and iPS cell-derived cells.
The kit contains an antibody that recognizes the CD133 epitope CD133/1. For staining of CD133 isolated cells, CD133/2(293C3)-PE or -APC is recommended.
