Description
Rat anti-Mouse Trem-1 antibody, recognizes the mouse trigger receptor expressed on myeloid cell 1 (TREM-1), the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on neutrophils The 30kD member and part of monocytes. TREM-1 is involved in the inflammatory response of microorganisms. Together with the adaptor protein DAP12, it activates neutrophils and monocytes, leading to the secretion of pro-inflammatory mediators and the enhancement of inflammatory response. Microbial infection also induces the release of a soluble form of TREM-1 from monocytes, which is reported to be an inhibitor of TREM-1.
