Product Overview

Description

The repolarization of cardiomyocytes depends on the transient outward potassium current (I(to)) encoded by the Kv4 family of potassium channels. KChIP is a class of Ca2+-binding auxiliary subunits that was very recently identified, and it has the ability to control the current Kv4 encodes. The only member of the family expressed in the heart is KChIP2. KChiP2b, also known as KChIP2, is the isoform that is co-expressed with the Kv4.3 subunit in this cell line.
