Description
I2PP2A encodes for a protein called SET, also known as inhibitor-2 of protein phosphatase-2A. It inhibits protein phosphatase 2A and also serves as an inhibitor of histone H4 acetylation by histone acetylases. Additionally, isoform 2 can block apoptosis by binding and inhibiting the protein NME1. Lastly, it also enhances the replication of adenovirus genome.
