Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-human Dectin-1 antibody, recognizes human Dectin-1, also known as β-glucan receptor (βGR), a member of the C-type lectin domain family. It is a major pathogen pattern recognition receptor, which can be combined with β-glucan, the glucose polymer that forms the cell wall component, or the outer polymer of yeast, fungi and certain bacteria. β-glucan has also been used in experiments and treatments as an immunomodulator to enhance resistance to bacterial, yeast, viral and protozoan infections and tumor formation. Dectin-1 also acts as a costimulatory molecule on T cells to induce their proliferation, and is required for TLR2-mediated inflammation. It is highly expressed on peripheral blood leukocytes and dendritic cells.

Immunogen

NIH3T3 cells express full-length β-glucan receptors.
