Description
Both potassium channels Kv7.2 and Kv7.3 function as voltage-gated delayed rectifiers. M currents are created in the brain by combining them. The potassium conductance known as M current, which slowly activates and deactivates, is crucial in controlling the excitability of neurons and their receptivity to synaptic input. Numerous central nervous system neurons also express this current. In anti-epileptic medication, M current enhancers are utilised, and blockers have been proven to improve memory and learning.
