Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-ADAM22 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 757-857 (cytoplasmic region) of mouse ADAM22 (also known as Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 22, Metalloproteinase-disintegrin ADAM22-3, Metalloproteinase-like disintegrin-like and cysteine-rich protein 2 and MDC2, accession number Q9R1V6)
Human: 97% identity (98/101 amino acids identical)
Rat: 95% identity (95/101 amino acids identical)
