Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-SLC32A1 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 1-133 (cytoplasmic N-terminus) of mouse VGAT (also known as GABA and glycine transporter, Vesicular inhibitory amino acid transporter, Vesicular GABA transporter, Solute carrier family 32 member 1, VIAAT and SLC32A1, accession number O35633)
Rat: 99% identity (132/133 amino acids identical)
Human: 96% identity (128/134 amino acids identical)
