Product Overview

Description

The hamster anti-Mouse Notch 2 antibody recognizes one of the four major transmembrane receptors (Notch 1-4) of the Notch signaling pathway, and the Notch 2 is activated by binding to a membrane-bound specific ligand containing the DSL domain. Notch signaling pathway is an evolutionary conserved pathway in multicellular organisms. It is essential for cell-to-cell communication in basic developmental and physiological processes (including regulation of neurons, heart and endocrine development, stem cell hematopoiesis, thymic T cell development, and Tumor progression and suppression. The Notch receptor is connected by its specific ligands Jagged1 (CD339), Jagged2, Delta-like protein 1 (DLL1), DLL3 and DLL4, and is physically adjacent to the signal-receiving cell through the ADAM family of metalloproteinases and γ-receptors Induces proteolysis of the receptor. The secretin complex in the transmembrane domain releases the Notch intracellular domain (NICD), which translocates to the nucleus. Then, subsequent signal transduction occurs through the CSL-NICD-Mastermind complex cascade (standard pathway) or the NF-kappaB-NICD and CSL-NICD-Deltex complex signal cascade (non-classical pathway). The canonical pathway inhibits the differentiation of stem cells or progenitor cells, while the non-canonical pathway promotes differentiation.
