Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-pig CD14, recognizes porcine CD14. At the third international symposium on porcine leukocyte differentiation antigens, clone MIL2 was clustered as porcine CD14 (Haverson et al., 2001). The mouse anti-pig CD14 clone MIL2 immunoprecipitated a protein of about 50 kDa, which was consistent with the expected apparent molecular weight of porcine CD14, and the expected CD14 spectrum was proved by double labeling and competition studies. In addition, pre-incubation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells with MIL2 inhibited the binding of FITC-labeled LPS, which is consistent with masking the CD14 LPS binding site (Thacker et al., 2001). The mouse anti-pig CD14 clone MIL2 was shown by flow cytometry to show the staining of monocytes and neutrophils in peripheral blood. Its expression pattern is similar to that of the anti-human CD14 clone TüK4. Lymphocytes and eosinophils stained MIL2. Negative (Zelnickova et al. 2007). Compared with other mammalian CD14, the cloning and identification of porcine CD14 showed a high degree of functional and structural conservation. The gene is located on chromosome 2 and is expressed in a wide range of tissues in a manner consistent with expression on myeloid cells. (Petersen et al., 2007; Sanz et al., 2007).
