The HiTector UTS2R has 3 million U2OS cells stably expressing unlabeled human urotensin-II receptor (UT). The HiTector UTS2R cell line is designed to test compounds or analyze their ability to modulate the uropressin-II receptor. When the agonist binds to the UT, it activates the G protein, which in turn triggers a cellular response mediated by the second messenger (calcium). This cell line has been validated by measuring the increase in calcium in the cytosol. The high reproducibility of the assay allows monitoring of the UT activation process in high-throughput screening

Urotensin II Receptor Assay

Assay Description

The Urotensin II Receptor Assay (UTS2R) from Creative Biolabs allows you to test compounds or analyze their ability to regulate UTS2R. When the ligand binds to UTS2R, it activates the G protein; this in turn triggers calcium-mediated cells Response. The combination of agonist and UTS2R induces intracellular calcium mobilization and PKC activation through PLC-IP3 and DAG pathways, respectively.

Urotensin II Receptor Assay includes the measurement of calcium concentration in the cytosol. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring of the UTS2R receptor activation process in living cells.
