Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-human CD36 antibody, recognizes CD36 antigen, a cell surface glycoprotein of approximately 88 kDa, expressed by platelets, monocytes/macrophages, and some microvascular endothelial and erythroid precursors. CD36 is the receptor for thrombospondin. When expressed by monocytes and macrophages, CD36 acts as a receptor for oxidized LDL and apoptotic polymorphonuclear cells. Mouse anti-human CD36 antibody, clone SMØ, partially inhibits collagen-induced platelet aggregation and macrophages uptake of apoptotic neutrophils. According to reports, this antibody can activate platelets through fibrinogen binding, P-selectin expression and annexin V binding-for more details, please contact our technical service team.
