Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-Neuropeptide Y BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 28-97 (all but signal peptide) of human NPY (also known as Neuropeptide Y, Neuropeptide tyrosine, C-flanking peptide of NPY and CPON, accession number P01303)
Rat: 96% identity (67/70 amino acids identical)
Mouse: 94% identity (66/70 amino acids identical)
~50% identity with Peptide YY

We offer several options for BBB shuttle antibody design. Antibody construction can be customized according to customer requirements.
