Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-SynDIG1 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 1-183 (cytoplasmic N-terminus) of mouse SynDIG1 (also known as Synapse differentiation-inducing gene protein 1, Dispanin subfamily C member 2, Transmembrane protein 90B, DSPC2, Tmem90b and C20orf39, accession number A2ANU3)
Rat: 97% identity (179/183 amino acids identical)
Human: 91% identity (167/183 amino acids identical)
<50% identity with SynDIG1L/SynDIG2/Capucin/Tmem90a
