Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-bovine CD14 clone CC-G33 is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes bovine CD14. Bovine CD14 is a GPI-anchored membrane glycoprotein and monocyte/macrophage differentiation antigen. It belongs to the family of lipopolysaccharide receptors and is found in microglia. It is also weakly expressed on cells and Langerhans cells.
CD14 acts as a receptor for effective bacterial endotoxin lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and is promoted by LPS binding protein (LBP). The binding of LPS to CD14 leads to cell activation, cytokine release and inflammatory response, and has been shown to upregulate the cell surface expression of adhesion molecules.
