Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-bovine CD14 (clone CAM36A) recognizes bovine CD14. CD14 is a co-receptor of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and mediates the innate immune response. It is expressed at high levels on the surface of circulating monocytes, macrophages, and bovine polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN). In addition, in cattle, soluble forms of CD14 can be found in serum and milk (Sohn et al., 2004). CD14 activates NFkB and causes inflammation through TLR4, MyD88, TIRAP and TRAF6.
