Description

Mouse anti-human CD206 antibody, recognizes human CD206, also known as macrophage mannose receptor (MMR), a member of the polylectin family of transmembrane proteins and pattern recognition receptors (PRR), which mediates Phagocytosis and endocytosis are regulated by many factors, including cytokines, immunoglobulin receptors and pathogens. CD206 has two extracellular lectin binding sites: the cysteine-rich domain binds to the sulfated sugars of glycoproteins (such as thyroid stimulating hormone), while the recognition of mannose and fucose is through the carbohydrate recognition domain (CRD) proceed. The wide distribution and recognition of a wide range of antigens by macrophages plays a key role in both innate immunity and adaptive immunity. CD206 can bind to Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, mycobacteria, yeasts, fungi and parasites. CD206 expression is not limited to macrophages, but also exists on immature dendritic cells (DCs), endothelial cells, renal mesangial cells, retinal pigment epithelium and tracheal smooth muscle cells.
