Description
Mouse anti-human CD205 antibody, recognizes human lymphocyte antigen 75, also known as CD205, DEC205, C-type lectin domain family 13 member B or gp200-MR6. CD205 is a 1695 amino acid, about ~205 kDa single type I transmembrane glycoprotein, a member of the macrophage mannose receptor family of C-type lectins, and is mainly expressed by human dendritic cells. CD205 is a recycled endocytic receptor, involved in directing antigen uptake for the processing and presentation of MHC class I. Various isoforms of human CD205 produced by alternative splicing have been described. Mouse anti-human CD205 antibody, recognizes canonical isoform 4, and the reactivity with other isoforms has not been evaluated, but both isoforms 2 and 3 contain most of the immunogenic sequences used to generate clone HD30, so it is very May be reactive. However, the antibody is not expected to react with isotypes 1 and 5 that lack the immunogen sequence.
