Product Overview

Description

LAMP1 is an acronym for "Lysosomal Membrane Associated Protein 1." As the name suggests, LAMP1 is a protein mainly associated with lysosomal membranes. Therefore, LAMP1 antibody is an excellent marker of lysosomes in mammalian cells, although some LAMP1 can also be seen in late endosomes and plasma membranes. This protein is also known as CD107a, Lysosomal Associated Membrane Glycoprotein 1, LGP120 and LAMPA, because the protein was independently discovered and named by several different laboratories.
