Assay Description
The M3 Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor Assay (CHRM3) from Creative Biolabs allows compounds to be tested or analyzed for their ability to modulate CHRM3. When the ligand binds to CHRM3, it activates the G protein; this in turn triggers calcium-mediated Cell response. The combination of agonist and CHRM3 induces intracellular calcium mobilization and PKC activation through PLC-IP3 and DAG pathways, respectively.
The M3 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor test involves measuring the concentration of calcium in the cytoplasm. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring the activation of CHRM3 receptors in living cells.
