Description

Mouse anti-human CD282 antibody, recognizes human TLR2, also known as CD282. TLR2 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family and is mainly expressed by peripheral blood mononuclear cells. TLRs are expressed on the cell surface and endocytic compartments, and recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMP) expressed on infectious agents. They also initiate cell signal transduction and induce the production of cytokines necessary for innate immunity and subsequent adaptive immunity. According to reports, TLR2 reacts to a variety of bacterial cell wall components, and cooperates with MD-2 to mediate the innate immune response.
