Description

Mouse anti-human CD282 antibody, recognizes human Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2), a type 1 transmembrane protein of approximately 90 kDa, which is mainly expressed by peripheral blood mononuclear cells. TLR2, also known as CD282, is reported to respond to a variety of bacterial cell wall components and mediate the innate immune response in cooperation with MD-2. According to reports, mouse anti-human CD282 antibody clone 11G7 can block IL-6 cytokine production in response to ara-lipoarabinomannan (araLAM) and tripalmitoylcysteine lipopeptide (Pam3CSK4) (Sandor et al., 2003 year). Clone 11G7 does not inhibit the production of cytokines induced by zymosan stimulation.
