Features
AVPR1A/HEK293 contains HEK293 cells stably expressing untagged human arginine vasopressin receptor 1A. The Creative Biolabs AVPR1A cell line is designed to test compounds or analyze their ability to modulate arginine vasopressin receptor 1A. When the agonist binds to AVPR1A, it activates the G protein, which in turn triggers a cellular response mediated by the second messenger (Ca). This cell line has been validated by measuring the increase in calcium in the cytosol. The high reproducibility of this assay allows the AVPR1A activation process to be monitored in high-throughput screening.

Assay Description
The arginine vasopressin 1A receptor belongs to the same G protein-coupled receptor subfamily of AVPR1B, V2R, and OTR receptors. The activity of arginine vasopressin receptor 1A (AVPR1A) mediated by Gq/G11 stimulates the phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Creative Biolabs' V1A vasopressin receptor assay allows the measurement of AVPR1A receptor activation by increasing the concentration of calcium in the cytosol.
