Product Overview

Description

Immortalized mouse olfactory substrate cells (OP6) are temperature-sensitive clones from C3H mouse olfactory substrate embryo E10. At an allowable temperature (33C), OP6 expresses a transcription profile that represents the middle and late developmental stages of the olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) lineage, including O/E-1 and BF-1. It does not express olfactory marker protein (OMP), indicating that this is not a mature ORN; however, after 39C differentiation, low levels of OMP were detected. This cell line can also be induced by all-trans retinoic acid to differentiate into mature bipolar ORN-like cell populations.
