Product Overview

Description

The overexpression and activation of c-kit are thought to promote tumor growth and have been reported in various cancers. The c-kit antagonist human antibody binds to domain 2/3 of c-kit. This completely blocked the SCF-mediated phosphorylation of c-kit and inhibited TF-1 cell proliferation, erythroleukemia.

Excellent
Its performance as an antagonist in our assays has been exceptional
The blocking capability of this antibody is robust, allowing us to study c-kit signaling with high specificity. The reproducibility of our results has improved significantly since switching to this antibody. Highly recommend it for anyone working on c-kit pathways.
user
Excellent
We used it primarily for in vitro experiments to block c-kit activity
The antibody's high affinity and specificity ensure clean and reliable results every time. It has greatly facilitated our understanding of c-kit’s role in cellular processes. The antibody works consistently across different cell lines, making it a versatile tool in our lab.
user
Excellent
The quality and consistency of this product are commendable
We've had great success using the antibody in our lab. The antibody's blocking function is excellent, providing us with clear and precise data in our in vitro studies. It has helped us elucidate the signaling pathways mediated by c-kit.
user
Excellent
Overall, a highly reliable and effective product
We particularly appreciate its high specificity, which minimizes non-specific binding and reduces background noise. This has been crucial for the accuracy of our in vitro assays.
user
Excellent
The antibody performs exceptionally well, providing consistent and reproducible results
It is especially useful for blocking studies, and we have seen clear inhibition of c-kit activity. This antibody has become a staple in our research toolkit due to its reliability and effectiveness.
Q&As
Can the antibody be used for immunohistochemistry or Western blotting?
The anti-c-kit antibody, Clone NR3499P is specifically designed for blocking and antagonistic applications in vitro. It is not validated for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC) or Western blotting (WB). If you need antibodies for these techniques, you should look for products that are specifically validated for IHC or WB applications to ensure accurate results (e.g., [CAT#: NRZP-0223-ZP54]).
What controls should be used when applying anti-c-kit antibody in my experiments?
It’s crucial to include appropriate controls when using anti-c-kit antibody. Include a negative control (e.g., an isotype control antibody) to account for non-specific binding. A positive control with known c-kit expression can help validate the effectiveness of the blocking. Additionally, use a no-antibody control to assess background staining or signal.
Is there a protocol provided for using anti-c-kit antibody in blocking experiments?
Yes, the product datasheet usually includes a protocol or guidelines for using anti-c-kit antibody in blocking experiments. This includes recommended dilution factors, incubation times, and conditions. Always follow the provided protocol for optimal results and consult additional literature or product support if you have specific experimental requirements.
