Alzheimer's Disease (AD) related Cell Products

Tens of millions of people worldwide suffer from Alzheimer's disease (AD), a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the deposition of β-amyloid protein (Aβ) and neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs), which are caused by hyperphosphorylation of tau protein and result in cognitive dysfunction and neuronal death. While there is currently no cure, recent breakthroughs in in vitro cell models and stem cell technology have renewed hope for the treatment of AD.

In vitro cell models are of great value in AD research. These models can simulate the disease process, providing valuable information about disease mechanisms, drug screening, and treatment effects. One such example is the use of hiPSC (induced pluripotent stem cell) technology, which can generate personalized neural network models to assess the impact of drugs on learning and memory. This approach has led to enhanced success rates in translation. The application of 3D tissue engineering and microfluidics technology enhances the authenticity and functionality of these models.

At Creative Biolabs, we have developed a variety of cell line products for Alzheimer's disease research, including neural cell differentiation systems such as hESC and iPSC. These cell lines offer researchers a valuable experimental model, facilitating a deeper understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's disease (AD) and paving the way for the development of more effective treatment options.

APOE PSEN1 MAPT TREM2

The relationship between the APOE gene and AD is very strong and is one of the most important genetic risk factors currently being studied. The APOE gene has three major alleles: APOE2, APOE3, and APOE4.

NCL-2101-ZP06 iNeuTM Human Neural Stem Cells - Alzheimer's Disease Patient (APOE4 HOM)
NCL-7P031 iNeuTM Microglia AD APOE E4/E4 Kit, Donor 1, Disease Model
NCL-2101-ZP25 iNeuTM Plated Human Cerebral Cortical Neurons - Alzheimer's Disease Patient (APOE4 HOM)
APOE PSEN1 MAPT TREM2

Mutations in the PSEN1 gene are one of the most common causes of familial Alzheimer's disease (FAD), especially in early-onset cases.

NCL-2101-ZP07 iNeuTM Human Neural Stem Cells - Alzheimer's Disease Patient (PSEN1 L286V)
NCL-2101-ZP26 iNeuTM Plated Human Cerebral Cortical Neurons - Alzheimer's Disease Patient (PSEN1 L286V)
APOE PSEN1 MAPT TREM2

In the brains of patients with AD the tau protein encoded by MAPT is abnormally phosphorylated and forms fibrillar deposits, one of the key pathological features of the disease.

APOE PSEN1 MAPT TREM2

There is a strong association between TREM2 (triggered receptor on myeloid cells 2) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). TREM2 is an immunological receptor that is largely expressed on microglia in the central nervous system, and its aberrant function has been connected to the progression of AD.
