Description

The monoclonal antibody NRP-0422-P533 clone specifically binds to E. coli rat Neublastin protein. The NR3577P monoclonal antibody was also found to bind to human neublastin. The antibody can be used for detecting the presence or amount of endogenous and/or exogenous neublastin in a sample and in methods of antagonizing neublastin bioactivity.

Figure 1 is a scatter plot depicting the ability of anti-hNBN mAbs to inhibit NBN-mediated c-RET phosphorylation in mouse cells.

Axis corresponds to concentration of 3E antibody (Fab) and Y axis corresponds to NGF binding (percentage of maximal UR). Increasing concentrations of Fab E3 blocked the interaction of NGF with p75 and trkA, as indicated by a decrease in signal (measured in UR). When the concentration of E3 antibody (Fab) was equal to that of NGF, no NGF binding was observed (indicated by zero signal).
