Description

Hydroxystilbamidine (also known as Fluoro-Gold™) has been widely used as a retrograde tracer and histochemical stain for neurons. Fluoro-Gold™ can undergo retrograde axon transport, exhibit a large amount of dendritic fillings, and have high resistance to fading.

The product is provided as a ready-made 4% deionized water solution. If necessary, the solution can be diluted to a lower concentration. For most applications, the typical dye concentration is 2% to 4%. Note: The dye solution is produced using Type I ultrapure water, but not aseptically prepared or packaged, and should be sterile filtered for aseptic applications.
