Description

The monoclonal antibody NRP-0422-P534 specifically binds to E. coli rat Neublastin protein. The NRP-0422-P534 monoclonal antibody was also found to bind to human neublastin. The antibody can be used for detecting the presence or amount of endogenous and/or exogenous neublastin in a sample and in methods of antagonizing neublastin bioactivity.

Figure 1 is a scatter plot depicting the ability of anti-hNBN mAbs to inhibit NBN-mediated c-RET phosphorylation in mouse cells.

Axis corresponds to concentration of 3E antibody (Fab) and Y axis corresponds to NGF binding (percentage of maximal UR). Increasing concentrations of Fab E3 blocked the interaction of NGF with p75 and trkA, as indicated by a decrease in signal (measured in UR). When the concentration of E3 antibody (Fab) was equal to that of NGF, no NGF binding was observed (indicated by zero signal).
