The monoclonal antibody can quantitatively analyze a very small amount of synaptophysin present in tissues using a small amount of the antibody in accordance with a complement fixation test. The monoclonal antibody has specific reactivity for rat synaptophysin or P-38.

EC50 values were calculated from a 4 parameter fit equation using Prism Graphpad using the data from Figure 10. A2=2.6 ng/ml, A6=3.2 ng/ml; E5=4.0 ng/ml, G7=93.2 ng/ml.
