Description
NeuroDye™ Fluorescent Dye Violet 510 is a fluorescent cell vitality dye used to stain live/dead mammalian cells in applications such as flow cytometry. The dye permanently binds to amine groups intracellular and on the cell surface and can be utilized before fixation, permeabilization, or cryopreservation. In a cell viability study, injured plasma membrane cells glow more intensely than healthy cells because they are permeable to NeuroDye™ dyes.
A violet laser operating at 405 nm excites NeuroDye™ Fluorescent Dye Violet 510, whose maximum fluorescence emission occurs at 510 nm.
