Description
The rat anti-MBP antibody can recognize myelin basic protein of many species. The rat anti-MBP antibody reacts weakly with peptides terminated at Phe 91 (where the 91-92 Phe-Phe bond is broken). Just like the complete MBP, synthetic peptide 82-99 reacts very well with Rat anti-MBP antibody. Further epitope analysis showed binding to the region defined by amino acids 82-87 (DENPVV).
