Product Overview

Description

The mCaMKIIa promoter, cloned from the promoter region of mouse calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IIa, is 1.3 kb in length, and is specifically expressed in excitatory neuronal cells.

The functional gene GtACR1, Guillardia theta anion channel rhodopsins 1, is an anion channel protein that is opened under light stimulation and can permeate negative ions such as Cl- to inhibit the activity of neuronal cells. Its channel properties determine that it is more efficient than the commonly used NpHR. Compared with the artificially modified chloride channel fast ChloC, the required light intensity is greatly reduced. Compared with slow ChloC, the reaction time of the GtACR1 channel very fast. At the same time, the light inactivation effect is low. The optimal wavelength for GtACR1 activation is 515nm.
