Description

Human Sepaphorin 4D, also known as CD100, A8, BB18 or GR3. CD100 is a 841 amino acid, about 150 kDa homodimer single channel type 1 transmembrane cell surface glycoprotein, which acts as a receptor for certain members of the plexin family. CD100 is expressed at a low level in peripheral blood T cells, at a higher density in activated T cells and B cells, also at a high level in fetal kidney, and at a lower level in fetal brain, liver and lung expression.
