Product Overview

Description

The anti-tau antibody specifically binds to tau protein in which the 280 thlysine is acetylated, and can inhibit the aggregation of abnormal tau protein. The anti-tau antibody is administered to an animal model that causes dementia, it is possible to improve the motor ability and cognitive ability of the animal model. Therefore, the anti-tau antibody according to the present invention can be usefully used in the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Excellent
As a neuroscientist, having reliable antibodies is crucial for my work
The NeuroMab antibodies' performance in both ELISA and immunoblotting has been outstanding. The antibody binds specifically to its target without cross-reactivity, making our data robust and reproducible.
user
Excellent
A staple in our lab
Its performance in blocking and inhibition assays has been particularly impressive. The consistent quality of the antibody has allowed us to publish several high-impact papers. It's a reliable tool for any lab studying tau proteins.
user
Excellent
It's a reliable and high-quality product
Its high specificity and reproducibility have made it our go-to antibody for tau protein studies. The quality control of NeuroMab products is evident in the consistent performance of this antibody.
user
Excellent
A critical tool in our lab's research on tauopathies
The antibody's specificity for the K280-acetylated form of tau is impressive, and it has performed well in both our in vitro and in vivo experiments. Highly recommended.
Q&As
How well does this antibody recognize Tau protein in human samples compared to mouse samples?
The antibody has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples. It shows strong specificity and sensitivity across these species. It is particularly effective in detecting acetylated forms of Tau in human samples, which is crucial for studies related to human neurodegenerative diseases.
Are there any known cross-reactivities of this antibody with other proteins?
The antibody is highly specific for the acetylated K280 epitope of the Tau protein, with minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins. This specificity is crucial for accurate detection in complex samples. However, we recommend validating the antibody in your specific application to confirm its specificity in your experimental context.
How can I be sure of the antibody’s specificity for acetylated Tau versus other post-translational modifications?
The antibody is specifically designed to recognize the K280-acetylated form of Tau, ensuring high specificity. Validation studies, including peptide competition assays, confirm that the antibody selectively binds to acetylated epitopes without significant cross-reactivity to other post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation.
