Neuronal Maturation Assay
At Creative Biolabs, we have deep dives into key areas of neuroscience. Creative Biolabs is passionate about providing in vitro neuronal maturation assay services to advance central nervous system (CNS) mechanistic research and drug development. With an advanced platform and extensive experience, we focus on providing innovative and flexible neuron maturation assay services to customers around the world.
Overview of Neuronal Maturation
Neurons are generated from neuronal progenitor cells and undergo many complex processes to finally acquire a mature appearance and full electrical excitability. During this process, neurons acquire their morphological, structural and molecular features, as well as their roles as critical components of the CNS. Mature neurons no longer divide after terminal differentiation. They are mainly involved in receiving, processing, and transmitting information in both central and peripheral nervous systems. Evidence indicates that multiple systems, such as the inflammatory system, the neurotransmitter system, and the cerebrovascular system, are involved in brain functions and neuronal maturation.

Methods of Neuronal Maturation Assay
To gain insight into the molecular mechanisms involved in neuronal maturation, at Creative Biolabs, our scientists combined protein-protein interaction networks of mature and immature neurons and public single-cell RNA-seq data to identify modules implicated in maturation processes. Furthermore, in vitro microelectrode array (MEA) technology has emerged as an attractive method to probe cultured neural networks, which enables long-term recordings at multiple sites in vitro and monitors signaling between hundreds of cells. Therefore, MEA is of great significance for routine monitoring of the internal dynamics of neuronal networks.
Neuronal Maturation Assay Service at Creative Biolabs
In-depth exploration of the molecular mechanism of neuronal maturation not only deepens the understanding of brain development and function but also provides new ideas for the study of neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and schizophrenia. Most importantly, the detection of neuronal maturity helps inspire advances in quantitative measures of neuronal maturity, which serves as a powerful tool for future neuroscience research. Creative Biolabs offers a variety of services including but not limited to:
- Morphological assay
- Electrophysiological assay
- Molecular characteristics assay
- Drug screening
Importantly, we also offer many cell models to perform neuronal maturation assay, such as:
- Primary Neuronal Cell Culture Models
- Human iPSC Derived Neuronal Cell Culture Models
- Cell Line Models
- Transgenic Cell Line Models
As a reputable in vitro neuron assay service provider, Creative Biolabs is passionate about providing in vitro neuronal maturation testing services to advance CNS mechanistic research and drug development.
