Description

Lamin B2 is an essential building block of the nuclear lamina, a filamentous meshwork inside the inner nuclear membrane. It has high degree of protein sequence similarity to another lamin B protein, lamin B1. Both proteins are widely expressed in the early developmental stages of the brain.
