Description
DMEM is an improvement of the basic medium Eagle (BME) with four times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins. The preparation first contains 1000 mg/L of glucose and is used to culture embryonic mouse cells. DMEM 4.5 g/L glucose/L-Gln does not contain sodium pyruvate medium and is suitable for most types of cells, including human, monkey, hamster, rat, mouse, chicken and fish cells. The high glucose version is very suitable for high density suspension culture.
DMEM 4.5 g/L glucose/L-Gln glucose without sodium pyruvate can be used in different cell lines as well as primary cells such as fibroblasts.
