Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-THRB BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 1-461 (full-length) of human Thyroid hormone receptor beta1 (also known as Nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group A member 2, c-erbA-2, c-erbA-beta, THRB, ERBA2, NR1A2 and THR1, accession number P10828)
Mouse: 96% identity (445/461 amino acids identical)
Rat: 95% identity (442/461 amino acids identical)
>75% identity with Thyroid hormone receptor beta2>80% identity with Thyroid hormone receptor alpha1
