Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-FGF13 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide amino acids 1-20 (MALLRKSYSEPQLKGIVTKL) of human FHF2B (also known as Fibroblast growth factor homologous factor 2B, Fibroblast growth factor 13B and FGF13B, accession number Q92913-2)
Rat: 100% identity (20/20 amino acids identical)
Mouse: 100% identity (20/20 amino acids identical)
55% identity with FGF13A/FHF2A
