Product Overview

Description

The BBB is a highly selective membrane that surrounds the blood vessels in the brain, and it can prevent many molecules, including potentially life-saving drugs, from entering the brain. The anti-LRP4 BBB Shuttle Antibody is designed to bind to receptors on the surface of cells in the BBB, and once bound, the antibody can cross the BBB and into the brain. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of brain disorders by enabling drugs to reach the brain more effectively.

Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 26-350 (extracellular N-terminus) of mouse LRP4 (also known as Lowdensity lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4, LDLR dan, Multiple epidermal growth factor-like domains 7, MEGF7 and KIAA0816, accession number Q8VI56)
Rat: 98% identity (321/325 amino acids identical)
Human: 97% identity (317/325 amino acids identical)
<50% identity with LRP1
