Description

The mouse anti-human Trem-1 antibody, recognizes the trigger receptor expressed on myeloid cell 1, also known as TREM-1, the trigger receptor expressed on monocyte 1 or CD354. Trem-1 is a 214 amino acid, approximately 22 kDa single-pass type 1 transmembrane immune receptor expressed on CD14 + monocytes, macrophages and neutrophils. It is inflammatory in fungi and bacteria. Highly expressed in lesions. It stimulates the inflammatory response mediated by neutrophils and monocytes. TREM-1 activation, together with LPS and other PRR ligands, amplifies the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby enhancing the inflammatory response. TREM-1 also plays a vital role in the mediation of septic shock.
