Anxiety Modeling and Drug Efficacy Testing Service
Disease Mechanism
Anxiety, also known as anxiety neurosis, is the most common type of neurosis and is mainly characterized by the experience of anxiety. There are many types of anxiety disorders, depending on the object or situation that triggers them. Anxiety disorders include panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and others. Additionally, anxiety can co-exist with many different disorders, such as depression, eating disorders, or irritable bowel syndrome. The main manifestations are nervous worry without a clear objective object, restlessness, as well as symptoms of autonomic dysfunction, such as palpitations, tremors, sweating, frequent urination, etc.
Anxiety Modeling
Classification | Modeling Method | Animals |
Anxiety model | Chlorphenazine induction | Rat |
Social stress induction | Rat |
- M-chlorophe-nylpipera-zine (mCPP) causes changes in the 5-HT transmitter system in the brain of animals and induces an anxiety model in rats.
Assays after Modeling
1) Light and dark box experiment
2) Elevated plus maze experiment
3) Open field experiment
Creative Biolabs offers a variety of well-accepted behavioral tests to assess potential anxiolytic, antidepressant, or antipsychotic effects, as well as cognitively enhancing and disruptive effects on learning and memory (cognitive, psychiatric, neurological). We have developed a comprehensive range of rat primary neuronal culture models and assays to evaluate the neurotoxic, neuroprotective, or neurotrophic effects of test compounds (cellular models).
In addition to the above tests, we can also provide MRI/PET-CT in vivo imaging of small animals, cardiac ultrasound, X-ray films, tissue fluorescence imaging (whole brain slide scan, tissue immunofluorescence imaging), patch clamp on cells and brain slices, multi-channel in vivo electrophysiological recordings, respiration recordings, behavioral testing of pain, anxiety, depression, olfactory function-related (go/no-go) in awake animals.
