Features

HiTector HTR2A/U2OS contains U2OS cells stably expressing unlabeled human serotonin receptor 2A (HTR2A). Creative Biolabs' HiTector HTR2A cell line is designed to test compounds or analyze their ability to modulate serotonin receptor 2A. When the agonist binds to HTR2A, the G protein is activated, which in turn triggers a cellular response mediated by the second messenger (calcium). This cell line has been validated by measuring the increase in calcium in the cytosol. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring of the HTR2A activation process in high-throughput screening.

5-HT2A Serotonin Receptor Assay

Assay Description

The 5-HT2A Serotonin Receptor Assay (HTR2A) from Creative Biolabs allows the detection of compounds or the analysis of their ability to regulate HTR2A. When the ligand binds to HTR2A, it activates the G protein; in turn, it triggers calcium The combination of agonist and HTR2A induces intracellular calcium mobilization and PKC activation through PLC-IP3 and DAG pathways, respectively.

The 5-HT2A serotonin receptor test involves measuring the concentration of calcium in the cytoplasm. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring of the HTR2A receptor activation process in living cells.
