Description
Endorphins (EP) are endogenous opioid neuropeptides and peptide hormones, which are produced in certain neurons in the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. It is one of the five endorphins produced by humans, the others include α-endorphins, γ-endorphins, α-neoendorphins and β-neoendorphins. Alpha Endorphin is an endogenous opiate, corresponding to the first 16 amino acids of the Beta Endorphin sequence. Our α-endorphin ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA assay for the quantitative determination of α-endorphin in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant. The density of the color is directly proportional to the amount of α-endorphin captured from the sample.
