Description
A monoclonal CD25 antibody inhibits the proliferation of an interleukin 2 (IL-2)-dependent human continuous T cell line. It blocks the human T cell receptor for IL-2 by binding to the alpha chain of the IL-2 receptor. Addition of highly purified IL-2 reversed the inhibitory effect of anti-Tac in an antigen-induced T cell proliferation assay.

Application Notes
This antibody recognizes the human interleukin 2 (IL-2) receptor. Cultured human T cells were used as the immunogen. The antibody is produced in tissue culture supernatant. Antibodies are usually detected by flow cytometry.
