RNAi Substrates

RNA interference (RNAi) is an intracellular gene expression regulation mechanism that can inhibit the expression of specific genes by specifically degrading mRNA. Since Andrew Fair and Craig Mello won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2006 for their discovery of RNA interference, RNA interference technology has shown great potential for application in biomedical research, the development of therapeutic strategies, and the improvement of crop resistance.

Creative Biolabs offers a comprehensive range of innovative RNAi tools, siRNA products including siRNA, miRNA and lentiviral particles to support and accelerate your research in the neuroscience field.

Applications

The applications of RNA interference technology are extremely broad. It has been widely used in gene function research, disease modeling, and gene therapy.

Applications Description
Gene Function Research RNAi provides a rapid and effective means of targeting and silencing specific genes to study the function of specific genes and related pathways. Using siRNA knockdown or miRNA overexpression/knockout, researchers can analyze the biological function of genes in in vitro cell culture and in vivo animal models.
Gene Therapy RNAi is considered to be a revolutionary therapy, especially for targeting genes and pathways that are difficult to treat with traditional drugs. Currently, a number of RNAi treatment strategies for tumors, viral infections (such as HIV and hepatitis viruses), neurodegenerative diseases, and rare diseases are now being developed or tested in preclinical trials.
Agricultural Applications Another potential application of RNAi is in agriculture. In crop improvement, RNAi can improve the resistance of crops to insects, salt and alkali, and drought. By silencing specific genes, the use of pesticides can be reduced, thereby improving the quality of agricultural products while protecting the environment.

Our custom services provide ready-to-use constitutive or inducible overexpression lentiviruses for any specific gene, as well as high-titer, ready-to-use shRNA lentiviruses for your target. Please contact us to discuss your custom project or to inquire about our RNAi products.
