Description

L-arginine (Arg) is a semi-essential amino acid produced by protein: healthy people can use L-glutamine as a component to synthesize L-arginine. However, premature babies cannot produce arginine, so additional supplements are needed to grow and develop normally. Arginine plays a key role in biochemical pathways such as the urea cycle and the biosynthesis of nitric oxide. Patients with ARG1 gene mutations have elevated arginine and ammonia concentrations. This mutation causes a decrease in arginase activity-this condition is called arginemia. Due to its role in the synthesis of nitric oxide, this arginine has also been advertised as a supplement, which helps the vasodilation process. Our L-arginine determination kit provides a fast, specific and simple method to measure the total amount of L-arginine in various samples. In our enzyme-based assay, L-arginine is converted into a series of intermediates, which will further react with probes that generate stable fluorescent signals (Ex / Em = 535/587 nm). The kit has simple operation, strong specificity, high throughput, strong adaptability and high sensitivity, and can detect L-arginine in human biological fluids and other biological samples as low as 100 pmol/well.
